Environmental Sustainability

Our rubberwood furniture is manufactured using timber from the rubber tree, Hevea Brasiliensis, which was first introduced to Malaysia from Brazil in 1877. There are currently over 1.8 million hectares of trees in plantations.

After 25 years of latex production, the old trees are removed and new trees are planted. In the past the old trees were simply bulldozed and burned. Today, advanced conservation techniques and state-of-the-art materials technology have enabled us to craft this beautiful, rich, close-grained hardwood into fine furniture.
